Physical Therapist

Alex is a graduate from Creighton University, where he received his Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science in 2017 and went on to receive his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree in 2020. Alex has experience in a variety of settings including the intensive care unit, neuromuscular clinic including spinal cord and traumatic brain injury, and now primarily focuses in orthopedics. Alex’s primary area of therapy includes sports rehab and orthopedics, where he feels he is able to truly make an impact by treating not only the physical aspect of a patient but also the mental aspect of returning to a prior level of activity or sport.
Alex played and excelled in baseball, basketball, and soccer early on which has allowed him to develop a sense of compassion for those he works with. With his background, he can understand others and develop that into the best plan of care for the individual person.
Alex is also certified in Functional Capacity Evaluations, which is designed for patients to determine their tolerance and physical ability to perform the required job demands of your profession. He plans to continue to gain more certifications in the next year.
Along with working for the Center for Athletic Medicine, Alex is also the team physical therapist for the Frontier League’s Windy City Thunderbolts baseball team where he works closely with the team physician and athletic trainer in a proactive approach to keeping players healthy and on the field.
Outside of work Alex enjoys playing golf, spending time outdoors, exploring new restaurants around the city, and is an avid fan of the Chicago White Sox!
